Extended Health Benefits

Most health plans provide coverage for mental health services provided by Registered Social Workers or Registered Psychotherapists. Please contact then to confirm if you are covered. After providing service, we will provide you with a receipt with all the info your benefits provider will need and you submit it to them to receive reimbursement.

Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP)

Our center provides psychotherapy services to teenagers, and adults who have an active file with the IFHP under their refugee status. To determine if you are eligible for psychotherapy services in Ontario, contact us.
To book an appointment, please consult your family doctor and obtain a referral for psychotherapy.
When booking an appointment, you will also need to provide your UCI number, The sessions will be billed directly to the IFHP, and clients will not be required to pay for them.

NIHB – First Nations & Inuit

If you have First Nations and/or Inuit status, you and your familly may be eligible for coverage of psychotherapy sessions with an approved Registered Psychotherapist.
Each year, eligible clients can access up to 22 hours of counselling with a Registered Psychotherapist. Additional hours may be available on a case-by-case basis within the same 12-month period.

Other approved plan with direct billing include:

• Veterans Affairs Canada
• RCMP

 

 

Tax Credit for Medical Expenses

All of your out-of-pocket expenses for services can be claimed as a Medical Expense on your yearly income. Speak to CRA or your accountant for more details

 

 

Cancellation Policy

We require 48 hours’ notice for the cancellation of appointments. This allows us time to offer this appointment slot to people on the waiting list with enough advanced notice. The full fee is charged for late cancellation.
